Many of our volunteers are found at the Inpatient Unit. They provide front-office support and companionship to patients who are experiencing acute symptoms or feeling lonely.
We at Harbor Grace also have volunteers available who can visit patients in their homes to provide companionship or to sit with a patient for a brief period while a loved one attends to matters outside of the home.
We work with interns from local colleges and universities, such as social work students, medical students, peer therapy, and similar programs. They provide therapeutic services to patients and families, as well as grief counseling to our bereaved families.
